We have three amazing puppies ready to go to new homes! Avery, Denver and Grist are ready for their new forever homes. We have started crate training with them, resource guarding, and basic obedience. These puppies are fantastic and we can't wait to see what wonderful families await for them!

Today was the puppies health check and vaccinations at the vet clinic. The puppies did great, not one of them was scared at all! Of course coming in to the vet with 7 puppies took some orchestrating, but all the puppies made it to the room safely. Once there our vet and assistant were in love with the puppies, they did awesome! The puppies took off exploring pretty quickly, and found that the vet had some pretty awesome shoelaces to play with! Weights, hearts, and other bits and pieces checked out perfectly! The shots weren't a big deal to the puppies, as they went right back to playing after they were put on the floor again. You know you have a great litter of puppies when your vet takes a picture to show her family how cute they are! So proud of these puppies, and how well they have handled new situations!
The puppies are doing great and having so much fun doing new things! This photo session was a harder one, the puppies kept trying to play with the photographer! They were very disappointed that they had to sit still for the pictures as you can tell from some of the shots! It has been a busy week already with baths, and a puppy party visit; and then we have evaluations on Wednesday, and more training to do! The weather has been amazing and the puppies have loved being outside playing in the grass and exploring for longer periods of time. We still have 4 spots left on the waitlist!
The puppies have had a busy week! They have been working diligently on their clicker training, the treats are their favorite part. They are learning to sit to ask for things, which is quite the process! Some days they are on the ball and get the lesson right away, other days they would rather play with everything else, and it takes them a bit to focus. They are like little toddlers! Because we use a operant/positive training method it is up to the puppy to decide to train with me, especially at this young age.
Puppies have started eating hard kibble mixed in with their other food, and Violet is starting to wean them. Puppies also got a bath this weekend and their first time with the blow-dryer on low, all the puppies did great! Pictures were a ball this weekend, the puppies were wanting to play the whole time! It was hard to get the best pictures because they were either trying to play with us or the Christmas tree/ornaments! Lots of personality! You can find the pictures here www.firesidepoodles.com/puppies.html 5 week photos are up! This last week and a half has been so crazy busy with the puppies! We are sorry we missed the 4 week photo session; but there were lots of big new experiences for the pups this week. The puppies had their very first grooming session from our wonderful friend Angela. They did pretty darn good for their first time, and Angela did an amazing job! They look like little poodles!
The puppies officially said good-bye to the whelping box, and are loving their new bigger puppy area. They are still trying to figure out the new beds, but love all of the room and new toys. Puppies also had their first baths, and did very well, they are super fluffy! And they are now moving on up in the food department and are on puppy kibble now! Violet is still nursing them too, so they are getting super chubby, they are so cute! |
