Due to unforseen life circumstances with our co-own home for Jagger (the situation is not in any way negative with respect to Jagger), we are exploring the option of a guardian home for him. A guardian home would be where Jagger would live with his guardian family, who would be responsible for his basic needs (food, basic grooming, vet care, basic training, and day to day costs); but he would be kept intact for showing and use for breeding in our program. Guardian home is also a home that has no other intact dogs of the different sex. We at Fireside would pay for his health testing, show fees and and any other fee applicable to breeding costs. Jagger would have to be available for showing, breeding or collection when we would need him for our program, but otherwise would live full time with his guardian home. If you are interested please contact us at firesidepoodles@gmail.com We would also be open to a co-own home with an approved breeder.

Fireside's Moves Like Jagger at Windswept, Jagger, had a wonderful first outing this may into the UKC Conformation ring. Jagger was shown by his co-owners Brad Morgan(Windswept Poodles)for most of the weekend. I showed him for the last show on Sunday afternoon. Jagger did awesome for his first time out winning his class (and best male), 4 out 5 of the five shows! Jagger's movement was beautiful and he is turning into a very handsome boy! We are so excited to see what this boy has in store for us later this summer in the other shows! Here is a picture from earlier in the spring, I forgot to take photos at the show.
We are so excited to tell you about our new show prospect, from Cosmic Caliber Standard Poodles in Kentucky. Our new addition is coming in next week and is a brown phantom standard poodle. Her litter name is "Gamora" but we are busy coming up with her forever name. We are so excited to start this new chapter of showing here at Fireside Poodles, and can't wait to see how this little lady develops. "Gamora" should be starting her show career this fall.
Writing to you all for an update about what is going on at Fireside Poodles right now. Violet is taking a break before her next litter. We are planning a breeding for Violet this next late summer/fall with a wonderful local boy. Violet will also have her testing updated over the summer as well.
Violet will be enjoying the summer hiking and attending baseball games with her human kids. We will be sure to share the pictures from her adventures! Violet is looking forward to getting out and smelling the flowers, and we hope you all will get out there and enjoy them this spring too! We will also have some very exciting news to share later this spring! We are so blessed to have such amazing families that have chosen our puppies to add to their families. Jake, formerly "Eddyline," has such an wonderful family with Karen, Freddie and big brother Charley. Karen has been amazing with updates on Jake and how he is doing in his new home! According to Karen, Jake is loving his new brother, acing puppy classes and doing great with his potty training. Here's some photos of Jake courtesy of Karen.
All three puppies had a big week! They got their boosters, 10 week check up, had their first big snow storm (they LOVED the snow), and they started puppy classes! The puppies did great in class, it always amazes me how smart these poodle puppies are! They got to do new things and meet all sorts of new puppies, from a big bloodhound puppy to a tiny boston terrier. Avery had amazing focus with my son Mac teaching her, Grist had the best sitting with distractions and sit to meet a new person, and Denver did great with all of the new obstacles we tried out. I have a short video clip of Avery and Grist sitting for my son while we were waiting in the "lobby" with tons of other puppies/dogs and people all around I will post this video to our Instagram page and our Facebook page. They did so awesome! I didn't have enough free hands to get video of Denver this week, but I for sure will get some next week of this little obedience rock star. Grist, Avery and Denver are doing amazing with their potty training, are crate trained, and are so ready for their forever homes! Contact us if you'd like to meet these sweet pups and add a new poodle family member to your household!
We have three amazing puppies ready to go to new homes! Avery, Denver and Grist are ready for their new forever homes. We have started crate training with them, resource guarding, and basic obedience. These puppies are fantastic and we can't wait to see what wonderful families await for them!
Today was the puppies health check and vaccinations at the vet clinic. The puppies did great, not one of them was scared at all! Of course coming in to the vet with 7 puppies took some orchestrating, but all the puppies made it to the room safely. Once there our vet and assistant were in love with the puppies, they did awesome! The puppies took off exploring pretty quickly, and found that the vet had some pretty awesome shoelaces to play with! Weights, hearts, and other bits and pieces checked out perfectly! The shots weren't a big deal to the puppies, as they went right back to playing after they were put on the floor again. You know you have a great litter of puppies when your vet takes a picture to show her family how cute they are! So proud of these puppies, and how well they have handled new situations!
The puppies are doing great and having so much fun doing new things! This photo session was a harder one, the puppies kept trying to play with the photographer! They were very disappointed that they had to sit still for the pictures as you can tell from some of the shots! It has been a busy week already with baths, and a puppy party visit; and then we have evaluations on Wednesday, and more training to do! The weather has been amazing and the puppies have loved being outside playing in the grass and exploring for longer periods of time. We still have 4 spots left on the waitlist!
